UX Designer

Spot me in the photos!

Hi, I’m Meera — a UX designer with a background in healthcare.

The two careers seem unrelated but actually the skills needed are the same ; empathy, problem solving, analytical mindset and a real passion to help people.

Before UX, I spent eight years in Dentistry, working closely with people every day. It was hands-on, human work that sharpened my empathy, problem-solving, and communication skills. Over time, I realised I wanted to keep helping people in a different yet tangible way, but through a role that let me bring together everything I enjoy: creativity, logical thinking, and a deep curiosity about human behaviour.

UX design turned out to be that sweet spot. It’s where empathy meets structure, research meets creativity, and thoughtful decisions can make someone’s day easier.

I found my way into UX through self-learning, online courses, and personal projects, and even taught myself the basics of front-end development along the way. Understanding how things are built helps me design more realistically and collaborate better with developers.

I’ve recently completed a Master’s in User Experience and Service Design at Loughborough University, where I worked on real-world problems and refined a research-led, human-centred design process.

I’m really interested particularly in healthcare, accessibility, and sustainability. I want to spend my time designing inclusive, ethical digital services that work for more people and stand the test of time. Right now, I’m exploring accessibility within healthcare platforms and how they can better meet accessibility standards.

I’m now looking for my first UX role within a collaborative team where I can keep learning, contribute thoughtfully, and design experiences that actually make a difference. Also, a fun, friendly team doesn't hurt - and makes tackling briefs all that more enjoyable!
